MIRA Safety Gas Mask Microphones (CM-6M, CM-7M, CM-8M, & TAPR) Review
MIRA Safety is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of gas-mask accessories, including the widely respected range of gas-mask microphones. These devices are designed to provide protection for the user’s voice while still allowing full communication even in areas of high air-pollution. We tested MIRA Safety’s CM-6M, CM-7M, CM-8M, and the TAPR gas-mask microphones to see how well they augment traditional gas-mask use.
Design
The MIRA Safety microphone range is simplistic and unobtrusive in design. All models come in the same silver-grey plastic housing which can be easily attached to the gas-mask itself. This makes them easy to install and use – no special tools or knowledge required.

Performance
